Statement

I’m drawn to working with figures and flowers. Most of my work I consider to be self portraits connecting me with personal history. I draw and paint but have been experimenting with embroideries, working with textile materials that connects me to my mother and grandmother. I consider myself an artist who explores different mediums and will one day incorporate all.

Bio

Eddy Valerio is a Dominican born artist who is currently living in the United States. He earned his BFA in Fine Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2015. He worked as a casting production assistant at Foster Reeve from 2014-2016 and is now holds the position of marketing/admin at Miriam Ellner and does part-time guilding for Verre Eglomise Studios.
