"Orishas Devotion in Berlin"
Director: Ricardo Bacallao
“A brilliantly creative revelation of the Black gods who dance on Hegel’s doorstep!”
Professor Lorand Matory, Duke University.
The Rule of Osha came to Germany in secret by the Cubans(Black Cubans basically) during the period of the '70s and in East Germany and stayed until now. The film shows the practice of Santeria (Cuban popular religion) and Candomble (Brazilian popular religion) in Berlin, with Babá Murah Soares of the only Candomble House in Germany and Joaquin Lahabana, a Cuban priest of Santeria.
