Urban Studio Unbound is seeking interns for an artist-run gallery in downtown Yonkers.

 

Position Overview: Interns will have the opportunity to participate hands on with this new start up & will work directly with artists & gallery administration. Daily tasks could include- social media/ website management; posting exhibition call for entries, organizing artist images/ assistance creating online artist profile/inventory; grant research; artwork intake; general assistance during curatorial process; exhibition admin; helping to set up reception and/or working at reception. Interns may also do tasks like helping to install or de-install exhibitions which includes patching and painting.  US+S will also run pre-college art workshops and interns may opt to participate as assistants in the event teaching is of interest to them.

 

The position is unpaid, but interns are eligible to earn college credit. Interns may also have the opportunity to exhibit their artwork free of gallery membership fees. *Everyone working at the gallery is a volunteer.
