Brett Sutherland

Brett Sutherland currently resides in Goshen, New York and studied Fine Arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology. His work challenges the idea of "fast fashion" and the consumerist society we're all caught in through the use of found clothing. The fabricated portraits, made out of the individuals own clothing, provide the finished product of the system, an illusioned happiness.

The collages are a clear reflection of the endless consumption of clothing, as well as our societies general attachment to material objects and the identity we gain from them.
